261 Lounge Pop Up at Para Maria
Haven’t you heard? Everyone watches women’s sports, and the 261 lounge is popping up at Para Maria to keep you up on all the action.
This of-the-moment women’s sport bar is named after Kathrine Switzer’s iconic bib #261, which she wore when she became the first woman to run the 1967 Boston Marathon. That number is becoming a symbol of resistance, and it’s anchoring a space where fans are now through Thursday, April 30th to watch the Boston Legacy as they are launching their first NWSL season, the Boston Fleet as they are pushing toward a championship, and the Women’s March Madness Final Four as it is pulling record-breaking audiences.
Chef Tatiana Rosana has plenty of globally-inspired game-day eats to keep your adrenaline up for every event, plus there’s an exhibit of photos from the Boston Globe of moments in women’s sports on display to keep you inspired. Grab a few teammates and head for The Seaport for walk-in seating, or make a reservation online (recommended for marquee matches), and give the restaurant a call at 617.530.1559 if you have any specific Qs.
