Buffalo Wild Wings has transformed a popular dipping sauce into popping candy.

The chicken wing chain on Wednesday launched Poppin’ Ranch, a ranch-flavored, Pop Rocks-like candy that can be sprinkled on wings and other menu items or mixed into ranch sauce.

The chain said the candy “offers a bright burst of savory ranch flavor followed by an audible pop” and presumably some crunch as well.

Poppin’ Ranch comes in a packet for 99 cents and can be added to any order while supplies last.

It is apparently the first product of its kind.

“B-Dubs has done something that’s never been done before with Poppin’ Ranch,” said Tristan Meline, brand president, Buffalo Wild Wings, in a statement. “It takes that classic popping candy you remember and pairs it with our signature ranch flavor. It’s an unexpected sensory experience that sounds wild, tastes delicious, and has to be experienced to be believed.”

The candy lands ahead of National Chicken Wing Day on July 29, which the chain is celebrating by giving away free bone-in or boneless wings with any purchase of $15 or more.

It’s the latest head-turning menu item from the chain, following the Espresso Proteini, a cocktail made with protein powder and Buffalo dry rub.

And it hits on several trends, including nostalgic foods and multi-sensory menu items that are tailormade for social media.

It also continues America’s love affair with ranch in all its forms. The creamy dip and dressing has been in the spotlight during the World Cup as many foreigners discover it for the first time.
