The portfolio company Craveworthy Brands really wants people to try the food at its 14 brands. So next week, on July 14, the company is giving food and drink away for free.

The Chicago-based Craveworthy on Wednesday announced a “Bet on the Bite” campaign in which it is inviting guests to more than 200 locations across its 14 concepts to get a free bite (or sip) of a signature item.

The free offerings will be samples, the company notes.

“I’m so confident in our food that I will bet the company on a single bite,” said founder and CEO Gregg Majewski, in a statement. “Others hide average food behind promo codes. They bet on friction. They bet on habit. They bet on you not having a better option.

“I bet on the food,” he continued. “On July 14, we’re handing it to you for free, because I already know what happens when you taste it. You’re hooked.”

Craveworthy in recent years has collected a diverse portfolio of franchise brands, including Big Chicken, Dirty Dough, Gregory’s Coffee, Fresh Brothers Pizza, Flat Top Grill, and Taim Mediterranean Kitchen.

And, if they show up on July 14, those participants may also be eligible for follow-up offers through July 31, the company said.
