Here’s How to Submit to BA’s Gear of the Year for 2026

Over the years we have reviewed thousands of kitchen products at Bon Appétit, putting them through rigorous objective and practical tests—roasting, poaching, slicing, air-frying, vacuum sealing, coffee brewing, and more in order to help you fill your kitchen with all and only the equipment that will make life easier and more delicious for you. And each fall we honor the best of the best new items we find by naming them to BA's Gear of the Year.

We're always on the lookout for great new versions of the tools every home cook needs. But to make sure we leave no stone unturned, we're asking brands to submit products for consideration. Scroll down to see which products are eligible and how to nominate them.

How to submit your product to Bon Appétit’s Gear of the Year Awards

Products should have been released no earlier than January 2025 and available for purchase at least October to December 2026.

This year we are accepting nominations only in the below categories.

Products must arrive for editors to test by August 21.

We ask that brands submit no more than four products for consideration.

We will reach out to ask for the samples we need (note that we may not call in products we've already tested or have at home); to avoid waste in shipping, we ask that brands do not send us unsolicited products.

The Gear of the Year reveal will happen in fall 2026.
