Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken is marking its 60th anniversary with a limited-time, 10-piece bone-in chicken box for $19.66 — a nod to the year it was founded in Lima, Ohio, by Lee Cummings and Harold Omer.

“Reaching 60 years is a remarkable milestone, especially in an industry that changes as quickly as ours,” CEO Ryan Weaver said in a statement. “We have guests who grew up eating Lee's and are now sharing it with their own children and grandchildren. That kind of loyalty is something we're incredibly grateful for. It's a testament to the quality of our Famous Recipe, the dedication of our franchisees and team members, and the communities that have supported us for six decades.”

In its 60 years, Lee’s has grown to 130 locations in 12 states and Canada. In 2025, its sales grew by 2.4% to finish with $235.2 million, according to Technomic data, ranking it within the Top 200 chains in the U.S.

Its 10-piece box joins a growing number of similar deals within the chicken category amid an intense value environment. KFC recently launched Box Feasts, including $7, $9, and $11 options and also expanded its $10 Bucket of the Day lineup from Tuesdays to each weekday.

Earlier this week, Church’s Texas Chicken debuted a $39.99 Golazo Meal with 20 pieces of legs and thighs or tenders, along with four sides, 10 biscuits, and a collectible soccer ball. Meanwhile, Wingstop has brought back its $16.99 Boneless Meal Deal, with 20 boneless wings, a large fry, and two dips, and Popeyes’ $6 Big Box has returned, with two pieces of chicken or three tenders, two sides and a biscuit, has also returned.
