Marco’s Pizza is extending its Toledo, Ohio, headquarters all the way to Orlando. The pizza chain today announced the development of a new Operations Center of Excellence designed to elevate franchisee training and strengthen operational execution.
Located at 222 S. Orange Ave. in downtown Orlando, the approximately 14,030-square-foot center will serve as a corporate office, training destination, and operational hub, and is backed by an investment of more than $1 million. It will include a fully equipped training kitchen designed to replicate a real Marco's Pizza store kitchen and create a hands-on learning environment. It will also be used to host discovery days for prospective franchisees, and serve as the home of Marco’s University, which provides advanced training for franchisees and general managers. Approximately 50 corporate team members will be located at the new site.
This expansion comes as Marco’s accelerates its national and international growth. The company is targeting more than 80 new store openings this year.
In 2025, Marco’s domestic footprint included 1,196 locations, marking a 2.9% increase versus 2024, according to Technomic.
"This investment reflects the intentional way we scale our business," Chief Operating Officer John Meyers said in a statement. "We are building the systems, environments, and capabilities that allow our franchisees not only to grow, but to operate with precision, consistency, and confidence."
Construction is currently underway, with the facility expected to open in fall 2026.
Marco's was founded in Toledo in 1978 by Italian-born Pasquale ("Pat") Giammarco and has grown to more than 1,200 stores in 35 states with locations in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and Mexico.
