P.F. Chang’s is giving customers digital fortune cookies if they enroll in its loyalty program.
The promotion celebrates National Fortune Cookie Day on Monday and is part of a larger Good Fortune campaign that will run through July 27 at the 214-unit Asian chain.
P.F. Chang's online Fortune Cookie Generator.
P.F. Chang’s Rewards offers 10% in Chang’s Cash on eligible purchases, free edamame on every dine-in visit, a free birthday dessert or appetizer, and other perks.
Also as part of the Good Fortune campaign, the brand will give out fortunes to commenters on social media Monday and will partner with influencers on social media content such as fortune cookie nails and fortune cookies by birth month.
The chain is also encouraging regional managers and restaurant teams to do food drops and acts of kindness for local fire departments, police stations, nursing homes, animal shelters, and other community groups during Good Fortune week.
It’s the latest example of a brand getting creative to build up its customer database. Craveworthy Brands last week offered free food at all of its locations to customers who registered in advance, and Golden Corral is offering a series of deals, including $2.50 kids breakfasts on weekends, for loyalty members only through the end of the year.
