Domino’s announced on Monday that CEO Russell Weiner will retire this fall and will become the company's executive chairman. Current Chief Operating Officer and President Joe Jordan will assume the role October 1, and Weiner will become executive chairman of the board.
“Joe is a proven leader whose experience spans virtually every aspect of our business,” said executive chairman David Brandon, who will retire after 28 years of service. “After a thoughtful succession planning process, the Board unanimously concluded that Joe is the right leader to serve as Domino’s next CEO.”

Jordan has been with Domino’s for almost 15 years, working in marketing, operations, technology, and franchisee support. He led the company’s international division through record expansion, opening 3,000 restaurants worldwide.
He was named COO in March 2025, and has overseen the relaunch of Domino’s loyalty and e-commerce platforms and the launch of its global digital marketplace partnerships.
“I am honored by the Board’s confidence and grateful for the opportunity to lead Domino’s,” Jordan said in a statement. “What makes Domino’s special is the strength of the people behind the brand, starting with our franchisees and including our team members and leaders around the world. I have also been fortunate to work closely with Russell over the past four years and am grateful for his leadership and contributions to Domino’s.”
Weiner joined Domino’s in 2008 and was named CEO in 2022. He was pivotal in the 2010 “Pizza Turnaround” campaign, which helped the company become the No. 1 pizza chain in the world, overtaking Pizza Hut in 2017. As chief executive, he led the “Hungry for More” strategy.
Brandon, meanwhile, has been with Domino's for nearly three decades. He was CEO from 1999 through 2010, leading the company through the creation of online ordering, its 2004 initial public offering and international growth. He was named chairman in 1999 and then executive chairman in 2022. He'll retire from the board in 2027.
In the latest Technomic Top 500 report, Domino’s was ranked No. 9 among all chains, and was an anomaly among the big QSR pizza players with 4.8% sales growth and 2.5% unit growth. It had domestic systemwide sales of just under $10 billion and 7,186 U.S. units at the end of 2025.
